The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of teaching help-seeking strategies on the academic adjustment of high school students in Genaveh. The method of the present study was quasi-experimental with pre-test and post-test design with control group and the statistical population of the present study included 1359 high school students in Genaveh. The sample size was 30 people who were selected by cluster random sampling method and were replaced in experimental and control groups. After performing the pre-test, the experimental group was exposed to help-seeking strategies for 10 sessions (one session per week). The instrument of the present study was the Baker and Cyriac Academic Adjustment Questionnaire (1). In order to analyze the data, the statistical method of analysis of covariance was used. The reliability of the academic adjustment questionnaire based on Cronbach's alpha was 0.87. Also, the validity of this questionnaire in the present study was calculated using the correlation coefficients of each question with the total score and showed that all questions have a significant correlation with the total score. The results showed that the mean adjusted score of academic adjustment of the subjects in the experimental group Post-test is significantly more than the subjects in the control group, which shows the effect of teaching help-seeking strategies on the academic adjustment of high school students in Genaveh.
