The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between parental perfectionism and self-concept and identity style of high school male students. This research was applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-correlational in terms of method. The statistical population consisted of all 730 male students of Farabi, Imam Khomeini and Shahid Darzi high schools in Ghaemshahr, of which 130 were selected by cluster random sampling. Data collection tools in this study are Ahwaz Perfectionism Questionnaire with 27 questions, Tennessee Self-Concept Questionnaire with 84 questions and Brzonsky (1992) Identity Style Questionnaire with 40 questions that the validity and reliability of the tools were confirmed. Pearson correlation test was used to analyze the data.There is a negative and significant relationship between parental perfectionism and self-concept (-0.457) and students' identity style (-0.406). There is also a significant relationship between parental perfectionism and information, normative and avoidance identity styles.The results showed that with increasing parental perfectionism, students' self-concept and identity styles improve. Therefore, managers and education officials are suggested to inform the family about the educational methods in the programs of the Parents and Teachers Association and to inform them about the consequences of each of these methods.
