Background & Aims: What is worrying is that despite the existing knowledge about the importance of how adolescents interact and educate, many adolescents around the world continue to grow up in environments that are punishable, emotionally, physically and emotionally abused. Get special attention; In this regard, the present study was conducted to investigate the effectiveness of parental compassion and therapy on adolescents' empathy and self-confidence. Materials & Methods: The research method is quasi-experimental with pre-test-post-test design and control group. The statistical population of the study included female students in District 4 of Tehran and their parents (parents) from which 30 students were purposefully selected and divided into two groups of intervention and control based on random block allocation. (Each group includes 15 people). The parents of the experimental group received 7 sessions of compassion and group therapy. During this period, the control group did not receive any intervention. Data were collected using an empathy questionnaire and a self-esteem scale; and data were analyzed based on analysis of covariance. Conclusion: The results showed that in the adolescent girls of the experimental group there was a significant change in improving the variables of self-confidence and empathy dimensions (empathetic concern, personal grief, perception) in the post-test compared to the control group under the influence of parental compassion intervention. (p<0.05). Discussion and Conclusion: In general, it can be said that parental compassion therapy has the potential to improve self-confidence and empathy in children.
