The statistical population of this research includes all female students of the first secondary level in Tehran in the academic year 1402-1401, of which 168 people were selected as a sample using the multi-stage cluster sampling method. After the questionnaires were dropped, the remaining sample number was 156 people. The research tools were Bamrind's (1972) parenting styles questionnaires, which had acceptable validity and reliability, were used. Also, the students' monthly grade point average was used to measure academic performance. In order to analyze the data, inferential statistics of Pearson's correlation coefficient and multivariate regression were used using SPSS-23 software. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between parents' parenting styles and students' academic performance. The results indicated that there is a positive and significant relationship between authoritarian parenting style and academic performance and a negative and significant relationship between permissive and authoritarian parenting style and academic performance.
