The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of emotion regulation training based on Gross model on academic performance and problem solving in female high school students in 1399. This study was a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest design with a control group. The statistical population of the study included all female high school students in District 2 of Tehran and were selected by convenience sampling method and placed in two experimental groups (15 people) and control (15 people). The experimental group underwent emotion regulation training based on the Gross model for 8 sessions and the control group waited for treatment during this period. Data collection method was based on Cassidy and Long problem solving questionnaire (2017). Also, academic performance was assessed based on students' GPA. Data analysis obtained from the questionnaire was performed through SPSS 23 software in two descriptive and inferential sections (analysis of covariance). Findings showed that emotion regulation training based on Gross model has an effect on academic performance and problem solving in female high school students.
