The purpose of this study was to compare the defense mechanisms, attitude towards sex and sexual satisfaction of professional, amateur and non - athlete women. The research method is causal-comparative. The statistical population of the study included all professional, amateur and non-athlete women in Tehran, among whom 125 were selected as available sample. Questionnaires of Anders, Sink and Bond (1), Hudson's Sexual Satisfaction (1981), Farajnia et al. (2014) Sexual Knowledge and Attitude Questionnaires were used for data collection. Descriptive statistics (median and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (one way and oneway ANOVA) were used for analysis. The results indicated that there was no significant difference between professional, amateur and non - athlete women in terms of the scores of underdeveloped, mature and psychotic defense mechanisms. Also, there was no significant difference between sexual satisfaction and attitude towards sex of professional, amateur and non - athlete women.
