Purpose: The present study was conducted to investigate and compare social intelligence and emotional intelligence in bilingual and monolingual students of Ahvaz city. Materials and Methods: The statistical population of this research included male and female students of Ahvaz city, the research sample included 80 male and female students (30 female and 50 male) who were selected using the available method. To collect data, Silvera et al.'s (2001) Social Intelligence Questionnaire and Shot Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire (MSEIS) were used. The data were analyzed using multivariate analysis of variance. Findings: The results showed that the average score of emotional intelligence in bilingual students is higher compared to monolingual students. Also, bilingual children perform better than monolingual children in all components of emotional intelligence. However, there is no significant difference in social intelligence between bilingual and monolingual students.
