Background and objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the prevalence of high risk behaviors among students of Maragheh University.
Methodes: In this study, 280 students were selected using multistage cluster sampling method. Then, the sample completed the Risk-Behavior Questionnaire. The questionnaire assesses the high-risk behaviors associated with drug use, smoking, alcohol consumption, high-risk sexual behaviors, aggression, suicide, and high-risk drivers. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation and multiple regression analysis.
Results:  The findings showed that there is a significant relationship between high risk behaviors and dormitory status, gender, ethnicity, field of study and economic situation. Also, there was no significant relationship between high risk behaviors with the order of birth and age of students.
Conclusion: Early prevention can prevent some high-risk behaviors in students. Teachers and parents are needed for this purpose.
