The present study was conducted with the aim of comparing the effectiveness of two methods of resilience and group consciousness on the promotion of hope and happiness in multiple sclerosis patients. Semi-experimental design was a pretest-posttest with control group. The population of the study consisted of all statistical population including all patients with multiple sclerosis in Bandar Abbas city. The number of them was 124. The sample size was reduced to 60 according to input criteria and based on the Morgan table, a sample of 45 people was targeted Were selected and divided into three groups of 15 people randomly divided and evaluated. The first experimental group received mindfulness intervention and the second group received a rescue intervention group and the control group received no intervention. To collect the data, Schneider et al. (1991) Hope Questionnaires (1991) and Haggai Argyle and Lev (1989) were used in two stages of pre-test and post-test. In order to analyze the data, multivariate covariance test was used. The results of research hypothesis analysis by multivariate analysis of covariance showed that there is a significant difference between the effectiveness of resilience therapy and group consciousness on the promotion of hope and happiness in patients with multiple sclerosis (P <0.01). Resilience and group consciousness therapy were also effective in promoting the hope and happiness of multiple sclerosis patients (P <0.01). The results of the study indicate the effects of positive interventions on hope and happiness of multiple sclerosis patients.
