The aim of this study was to investigate the role of child abuse experiences and family functioning in predicting students' personality beliefs. The present study is based on descriptive goals of correlation type. The statistical population of the present study included all postgraduate students of humanities in Birjand Azad University (440 people) in the academic year 1397-98, of which 205 postgraduate students of the humanities who were eligible to enter the study by sampling method in Available were selected and participated in the present study. Data collection tools included the Epstein et al.'s (1983) Family Performance Questionnaire and the Butler et al.'s (2007) Personality Beliefs Questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using regression analysis. The results of data analysis showed that family performance is involved in predicting all components of family performance (problem solving, communication, maps, emotional companionship, emotional association, behavior control).
