The main purpose of this study is the effect of dialectical behavior therapy on reducing impulsivity in women with comorbidity of borderline personality disorder and glass abuse in social welfare clients in Hamadan province. This research is a quasi-experimental design of pre-test-post-test with a control group and its statistical population is all women with borderline personality disorder and glass abuse who are kept in the Social Welfare Emergency Center in Hamadan, which with The available sampling method was selected by 40 people and they were equally and completely randomly divided into experimental and control groups. Then, only the experimental group underwent group dialectical behavior therapy for 12 sessions of 90 minutes. To collect data for the borderline personality variable, the Millon 3 multivariate clinical test (1977) and the impulsivity variable of the Barat Impulsivity Scale (1959) were used. It was performed on both groups. ANCOVA method was used to analyze the data. The results of the main hypothesis show that the independent variable of dialectical behavior therapy has a significant effect on the dependent variables of impulsivity in women with borderline personality disorder (F = 1985/65 and P <.001) and impulsivity in women with substance abuse (F = 291.58). And P <0/ 001); Therefore, the intervention has been effective in reducing impulsivity and glass abuse. The results of the first sub-hypothesis show that the independent variable of dialectical behavior therapy has a significant effect on the variable of impulsivity reduction in women with borderline personality disorder (F = 26.26 and P <0/001); Therefore, the intervention has been effective in reducing the impulsivity of women with borderline personality disorder in welfare social emergency clients in Hamadan province. The results of the second sub-hypothesis table showed that the independent variable (group) had a significant effect on the dependent variable (impulsivity reduction) of women with glass abuse (F = 29.52 and P <0001); Therefore, the intervention has been effective in reducing the impulsivity of women with glass abuse in welfare social emergency clients in Hamadan province.
