The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effectiveness of acceptance and commitment therapy on the psychological flexibility of patients with coronary heart disease. The research method is semi-experimental with control group. The statistical population of the research includes all patients referred to Javad Alaemmeh Heart Hospital in Mashhad in the year 2021. The statistical sample of the research included 30 patients from the available people, according to the entry and exit criteria of the study, 15 people were randomly placed as the experimental group and the other 15 people were placed in the control group. Then acceptance and commitment treatment sessions were implemented in the experimental group; Finally, the post-test was taken from both experimental and control groups. Analysis of covariance test was used to analyze the data. The findings of the research showed that acceptance and commitment therapy in the experimental group was effective in increasing psychological flexibility compared to the control group (P<0.05). According to the research findings, acceptance and commitment therapy can be used to increase psychological flexibility.
