Therefore, the present study was conducted with the aim of determining the effect of "short-term intensive dynamic psychotherapy" on "social adjustment" of patients with antisocial personality disorder.
Methodology: The present study is a randomized controlled trial using a pre-test-post-test design with a control group having the usual care of a standard study. The statistical population of the present study consists of all men aged 19-45 with antisocial personality disorder, prisoners of Semnan prison. Among these people, according to similar research, 16 people were selected according to the available method and were replaced by random number generation method in two intervention and control groups. Milon 3 Multiaxial Scale and Social Adaptation Scale were used to collect information. Descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (multivariate analysis of variance with repeated measurements) and SPSS-19 statistical software were used for data analysis.
Findings: Examining the difference between the average social adjustment of the experimental group (intensive short-term dynamic psychotherapy) and the control indicates that by removing the effect of pre-tests, between both groups in social adjustment (P < 0.001, F 34.01 =), there is a significant difference.
