Background & Aims: The aim of this study was to determine relationship between Anxiety sensitivity and Health anxiety with mediating role of Intolerance of uncertainty. Materials & Methods: This study was a descriptive-correlation type in which 197 participants were selected from Tabriz University students in the academic year 1401-1402 with a multi-stage cluster sampling method and using the Short Health Anxiety Inventory (HAI), Anxiety sensitivity Questionnaire (ASI) and Simon and Gaher's distress tolerance questionnaire to measure research variables. Results: Data analysis After discarding The distorted and incomplete answer sheets using the path analysis method by SPSS-24 and Amos-24 showed that distress tolerance can positively and significantly explain the relationship between anxiety sensitivity and health anxiety (P<0.05). Therefore, the mediating role of Intolerance o uncertainty was confirmed. Conclusion: According to the mediating role of Intolerance of uncertainty in the relationship between Anxiety sensitivity and Health anxiety, focusing on the components of anxiety sensitivity and distress tolerance in interventional processes can be useful and effective in controlling health anxiety symptoms. Therefore, it can be recommended to mental health professionals to put it on the agenda in the process of assessing and evaluating anxiety sensitivity and focusing on it if necessary.
