Auditory memory is one of the important and effective components of learning, which is effective for students to strengthen. Active listening memory can play a direct role in children's language acquisition and its skills are much related to the development of important aspects of language such as vocabulary acquisition. Therefore, the present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effect of neurofeedback training on the auditory memory of male primary school children. The present research method was semi-experimental, pre-test-post-test with a control group. The statistical population was all primary school students of Karaj city in 2020-2019. Using the available sampling method, 30 students who received two standard deviations lower than the average in the auditory subscales of the Wechsler clinical memory test; they were replaced randomly in two experimental (15 people) and control (15 people) groups. The tools used are: Wechsler's Digits Farakhna subtest (children's version) and ten neurofeedback sessions were conducted twice a week for the experimental group according to the method of Deimos (2005). At the end of the intervention, two groups were again evaluated with the mentioned test. The findings were analyzed using covariance analysis. The results showed that neurofeedback training was effective in improving listening memory in the experimental group (P<0.05). According to the findings, it can be said that neurofeedback is effective as an effective tool for improving cognitive abilities and mental functions, so it is recommended to use it in the relevant fields.
