Background and purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of solution-oriented therapy on the anxiety of entrance exam students. The statistical population of the present study was formed by the entrance examination students in Semnan city in the first half of 1402. Materials and methods: The research method was quasi-experimental with a pre-test and post-test design with a control group. Beck's anxiety scale and clinical interview based on DSM 5 were used to screen adolescents, and among the people who had obtained the highest score in depression, they were invited to participate in this experiment. The number of 63 people who qualified to participate in the Being a research, selection and random replacement were made into two experimental groups, i.e. those suffering from general anxiety and the control group, in the form of 2 groups, an experimental group of 15 people and a control group of 15 people. After replacing the research subjects in the intervention and control groups, the experimental group for they received 8 one-hour group sessions of short-term solution-oriented therapy, but the control group did not receive this treatment until the end of the therapeutic research process. They were placed on the waiting list for the next treatment sessions. Back was filled again. Findings: The first finding of the research was that short-term solution-oriented treatment has a significant effect on the reduction of anxiety symptoms; And another finding was that the insignificant gap between the scores of the control group and the experimental group had now become a significant gap due to the therapeutic intervention in the experimental group and also the higher depression score of the control group. Discussion and conclusion: Short-term solution-oriented treatment is effective in reducing the anxiety symptoms of entrance exam students.
