The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effect of positive thinking skill training on the resilience of female primary school teachers in Abadan city in 2013. The research method was semi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group. For this purpose, among the mentioned teachers, 200 people and among them 40 people were identified by random sampling method, based on resilience test (Connor and Davidson, 2003) and were randomly placed in 2 groups of 20 people, experimental and control group. . The experimental group was exposed to the independent variable - positive thinking skill - for 2 months and 8 sessions, each session lasting 60 minutes, While the control group only had a pre-test and a post-test. Then both groups were compared. Analysis of variance and analysis of covariance were used to test the research hypotheses. The results of the findings showed that teaching positive thinking skills increases the resilience of teachers. Also, the results of covariance analysis revealed that the positive thinking skill caused a difference in the groups and the post-test score of the experimental group increased compared to the post-test score of the control group. Therefore, the intervention method of positive psychology can increase the resilience of teachers.
