The study of academic resilience in students is crucial as it serves as a key determinant of academic success. This research aims to investigate the mediating role of academic hope and academic optimism in the relationship between academic self-efficacy and academic resilience in students. The study employed a cross-sectional analytical design, involving a sample of 380 high school students from Ilam during the 2023-2024 academic year, selected through cluster sampling. After obtaining informed consent, participants completed questionnaires measuring academic self-efficacy, academic hope, academic optimism, and academic resilience. The data were analyzed using path analysis, conducted through SPSS (version 27) and AMOS (version 26). The results demonstrated a significant relationship between academic self-efficacy and academic resilience at the 5% significance level. Moreover, both academic hope and academic optimism showed significant positive relationships with academic self-efficacy and academic resilience. Additionally, academic hope and academic optimism were found to mediate the relationship between academic self-efficacy and academic resilience. Given the confirmed mediating role of academic hope and academic optimism, this study suggests that increased attention to these variables could be a key factor in promoting academic resilience.
