Background & Aims: The purpose of this study was to determine the causal model of schema mentalities based on emotional intelligence and emotional expression styles mediated by strategic thinking in bank employees. Materials & Methods: The present study was applied in terms of purpose and descriptive in terms of method, correlational (relational) type. The population consisted of male employees aged 30 to 45 years of banks in District 1 of Tehran, from which 250 people were selected as a convenience sample and completed the King and Emmons (1990) Emotional Expressiveness Questionnaire, Bradbury and Graves (2004) Emotional Intelligence, Goleman's Strategic Thinking (2007) and Labstel et al.'s Schematic Mentalities (2010) Questionnaires. Results: The research findings showed that the model has the relative adequacy and necessary fit for measuring latent variables. In addition, strategic thinking and schema mentalities have moderate and strong predictive fit. Also, 61.1% of the changes in the strategic thinking variable are explained by emotional intelligence and emotional instrumental styles, and 70.4% of the changes in schema mentalities are explained by emotional intelligence, emotional instrumental styles, and strategic thinking. Conclusion: Discussion and Conclusion: Based on the structure of strategic thinking and its trainability, involving this type of thinking can redefine the path of the relationship between schema mentalities with emotional intelligence and emotional expression styles.
