Background & Aims: The present study was conducted in order to effectiveness of self-compassion training on suicidal ideation and social acceptance of adolescents. Materials & Methods: This research is applied and its method is semi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group. The population of female students of the second secondary school in Bukan city in the academic year of 2023-2024, that There were 2938 students. The sampling method was available and based on the entry and exit criteria, 30 people were selected as a sample and randomly replaced in two experimental and control groups (15 people in the experimental group and 15 people in the control group). Before starting the intervention, both groups were pre-tested. The self-compassion training program was presented to the subjects of the experimental group in 7 sessions of 60 minutes during one month. Research questionnaires included: Beck and Steer (1991) Suicidal Thoughts Scale and Kron and Marlowe (1960) Social Acceptance Questionnaire. To analyze the data, analysis of covariance was used in SPSS-26. Results: The results showed that self-compassion training has a significant effect on the suicide Ideation and social acceptance of female students, and The effect of intervention on suicidal ideation was more than social acceptance. Conclusion: Therefore, self-compassion training can be effective for psychologists and counselors and can be used to reduce suicidal ideation and increase social acceptance of Adolescent girls.
