Abstract:   (25 Views)
The aim of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of group singing training on aggression and self-regulation of music students at the Khorramabad Fine Arts Conservatory. The present study was applied in terms of its purpose and semi-experimental in terms of its method, with a pre-test-post-test type with a control group. The statistical population of the present study included all music students at the Khorramabad Fine Arts Conservatory, which numbered 37 at the time of the present study. Using the available non-random sampling method, 30 people (15 in the experimental group and 15 in the control group) were selected as the sample group and studied. In this study, the standard self-regulation questionnaires of Bouffard (1995) and the Eysenck and Glyn Wilson aggression questionnaire (1975) were used and data were analyzed using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, Levin test, one-way analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) and two-way analysis of covariance (MANCOVA) to examine the research hypotheses with the help of SPSS version 23 software with an alpha (error value) of 0.05 and a confidence level of 95 percent (95%). The results indicate that group singing is effective on aggression and self-regulation of music students at the Khorramabad Fine Arts Conservatory. Based on the findings of the present study, it is concluded that group singing reduces aggression and increases self-regulation of students. Therefore, these programs should be considered by the education department of Khorramabad city to be used in planning therapeutic approaches and increasing efficiency for students.
