New media, especially the Internet and virtual social networks, have caused changes in people's moods and its scope and intensity continues to increase. This study was conducted to predict the mental health, depression and anxiety of high school students based on the use of social networks. Methods: The method of this research is descriptive-correlational in terms of implementation method. In the present study, the statistical population includes all high school students in Semnan. In the first semester of the academic year of 1994-95, a sample of 200 people was selected from the available people using the Cochran's formula. And answered a researcher-made questionnaire on social networks. This study was performed through Pearson statistical coefficient and simple linear regression by SPSS software version 21. Analysis: According to the results of the study, the use of social networks can affect the quality of life of students and depression in the formation of mental health. And anxiety play a role. Discussion: Social networks play a role in shaping mental health, depression and anxiety and even affect the economic, social and political dimensions of societies. Therefore, awareness and management measures should be taken in line with the amount and content used in social networks
